FAQ

Do you guarantee to keep me flying?

keyboard_arrow_down

Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in this game. The approval authorities such as the FAA or DoD make the final decision regarding aircrew fitness for flight. However, we always aim to keep the skies safe, give our clients unbiased consultation, and advocate on your behalf to keep you flying!

Does health insurance cover FAA Exams?

keyboard_arrow_down

All pilot medical certificates cost $160. Insurance does not typically cover FAA exams. You can use a Health Savings Account if you have an HSA debit card. Special Issuances, SODAs, and CACI conditions may carry an additional cost. Standard pricing stated above.

Who are your main clients?

keyboard_arrow_down

We help pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aircrew who are affiliated with both the military and civilian organizations. We also provide services for aviation hobbyists and other aviation organizations. As a HIMS AME, we specialize in mental health (ADHD/ADD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, gender dysphoria and adjustment reactions) and substance abuse conditions (alcohol, substance use disorders, DUI's/DWI's, and other drug related incidents)

Is the urinalysis a drug test?

keyboard_arrow_down

No, the FAA requires that the AME check glucose and protein levels in your urine. This provides a rudimentary screening for diabestes and kidney disease. If ATCS, the FAA may still require random drug screening. If a pilot, your pilot may require rand drug screening. If you are a HIMS patient with a previous incident or diagnosis related to substance misuse, you may have a requirement for randomized drug testing and monitoring. In this case, the test would be thru a third party. Drug testing is not part of your FAA medical exam.
